Pink Wednesday: China Glaze+OPI

Today is Pink Wednesday! I decided to use a new pink my sister bought for me: China Glaze Strawberry Fields. I really love the color but I initially wanted the polish for the name, because I'm a fan of The Beatles. So much so that I have a Beatles tattoo (lyrics) on the back of my left calf.

Strawberry Fields made its way into my top 5 favorite nail polishes of all time. It's beautiful and everything I want in a pink polish. It applied really well and I had full coverage in 2 coats. It's this really pretty saturated, bold pink with gold micro-glitter in it. The gold glitter is what makes Strawberry Fields stand out over every pink I own.

I decided to apply OPI "I Lily Love You" on top of Strawberry Fields to give it some extra oomph.

I lily love you is a thick flakie. The flakes are in a sheer pink base so this looks great over any pink or red. The application can be kind of difficult because the formula is so thick, and the flakes don't like to stay down on the nail. A nice coat of seche vite fixes that right up for me. I really love this polish as well - it just looks like shards of glass on my nail! How fun.

That's it for pink Wednesday. I did a lot of swatching today (SO. MUCH. GLITTER) for the rest of the week. I also tried stamping and well..I'm very frustrated. I need better stamping polish.
